This dummy person is placed here to indicate that y-dna tests have shown the line continues, or that there is a common ancestor but that primary records have not been found to support this. However dna test are conclusive. There is no reasonable doubt that the line continues. In fact the y-dna test is more reliable that paperwork and primary records. A y-dna test can for instance indicate false paternity. False paternities, which includes unannounced adoption, are indicated in about 5% of all cases of parent/child records. If you look at the oldest individual in this line you will find another dummy entry that points to more information and to the inviduals who submitted that line.
